Hi!

My name is Kimberly Martinez and I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2024, at the age of 27, after years of unexplained symptoms and uncertainty. My journey with PCOS began long before I even knew what it was. For as long as I can remember, I dealt with symptoms, but it wasn’t until a chance conversation during a laser hair removal appointment for excessive facial hair that PCOS was first suggested to me.

After that, I began researching on my own, learning about the condition and realizing that so many of my experiences lined up with PCOS symptoms. I suspected that I had it, so I went to my doctor for testing. Even then, I was told I didn’t have PCOS, although my results were inconclusive. For over 10 years, I felt unheard and dismissed. It was only after switching providers that I finally got answers.

Now, I’m committed to bringing my old self back, one step at a time, and finding ways to enjoy life fully without unnecessary restrictions. Here, I’ll be sharing both PCOS-friendly recipes and moments where I’m just living life, because I believe we all deserve balance. If you’ve ever felt alone in your journey, know that you’re not. I’m here to share openly and hopefully bring awareness to others who might have had similar experiences. Let’s navigate this journey together!

Primary PCOS Symptoms

  • Excessive facial hair (hirsutism)
  • Weight gain and difficulty managing weight
  • Hair loss or thinning
  • Irregular menstrual cycles
  • Persistent fatigue

I’ve listed the primary PCOS symptoms I’m currently navigating, each presenting its own unique challenges. Through this blog, I’ll document my journey as I tackle each of these symptoms individually, sharing my approaches, experiences, and insights along the way. My goal is to explore practical ways to manage these struggles while embracing a balanced and fulfilling life.
